How it works
Finnish VAT returns must be filed monthly — even when there is nothing to report. Forgetting costs €3 per day, up to €135, then 2% of tax owed. Vat-app files for you automatically, every month, on time.
The filing schedule
Your VAT return for a given month is due on the 12th of the second month following. March's return is due 12th May, not 12th April. Vat-app files on the 1st of each month, giving 11 days of buffer before the deadline.
What it files
For most small companies with no EU cross-border activity, the return is a simple "no activity" declaration — a few fields telling Vero that nothing taxable happened that month. This is a perfectly valid and legally compliant submission. When you have real VAT figures to report, those can be added later.
