Back to demo Vat-app

How it works

Finnish VAT returns must be filed monthly — even when there is nothing to report. Forgetting costs €3 per day, up to €135, then 2% of tax owed. Vat-app files for you automatically, every month, on time.

The filing schedule

Your VAT return for a given month is due on the 12th of the second month following. March's return is due 12th May, not 12th April. Vat-app files on the 1st of each month, giving 11 days of buffer before the deadline.

What it files

For most small companies with no EU cross-border activity, the return is a simple "no activity" declaration — a few fields telling Vero that nothing taxable happened that month. This is a perfectly valid and legally compliant submission. When you have real VAT figures to report, those can be added later.

2
Grant Suomi.fi authorisationYou authorise this software to file on behalf of your company. Done at suomi.fi/valtuudet with Finnish online banking.
3

Is it secure?

Your certificate and private key are stored encrypted. They are never visible to anyone — not even us. Filing happens server-side via Vero's official API. All submissions are logged with a unique reference number from Verohallinto.
